MSP430L092

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430L092

Hi,

What is MSP430L092? Where can I find data-sheet, specifications, etc.?

Does it have SBW and can it be programmed with LaunchPad?

There is a Product Folder which indicates PREVIEW (which is why it doesn't have the datasheet on it) as it has not been fully released yet.

I would suggest you contact a local representative for more information at this time (until the product is released and collateral is made public).

Yes, the MSP430L092 does suppport Spy-By-Wire (SBW) but it would not be programmed with the LaunchPad directly.  The following tool can be used.

The target board has level translators from 3.3V to allow connection to the MSP430L092.  It would use the MSP-FET430UIF tool.  In theory, I suspect the LaunchPad emulation portion could be used as well, but you need to make sure that you level translate the SBW signals.  However, you would not be able to use the LaunchPad DIP connector for the MSP430L092 specifically.  The MSP430L092 uses the 14-pin TSSOP FET target board.  The kit above includes this FET Target board and the voltage translator board as well.
