The data sheet clearly explains how the calibration values are used to produce accurate TC measurements using an external VREF.

e2e.ti.com also explains that the correct procedure with ADC readings is to correct for VREF first and then apply the ADC calibration values.

Please confirm that the same holds for the TC values using an internal reference as per the user's guide:

- first apply the VREF calibration as per 1.14.3.1

- then apply the TC calibration as per 1.14.3.3

You can skip the VREF calibration as this step is considered by the ADC device descriptors used for the TS calibration. Can you provide a link to the E2E post that says otherwise? Please refer to msp430fr599x_adc12_10.c as an example.

You are quite correct, I missed the sentence in 1.14.3.3 that says:

"The temperature sensor is calibrated using the internal voltage references."
