MSP430FR2533: Captivate touch resolution question

Hi MSP430 champion

My customer want to use captivate touch in their product, and they need our touch can meet the resolution of 0.01PF~0.05PF, is it ok?

If yes, please suggest how to calculate?

What kind of application is this for? If this for buttons or sliders or wheel functionality?

Hello Eric,

We need some more information here. How many elements are for the wheel? What is the resolution of the wheel (positions)? I'm assuming this is an HMI or are your trying to detect the position of something other than a finger?

Your original question of detecting 0.01pf-0.05pF is not a question of resolution, but sensitivity. this sensitivity is going to be highly dictated by your sensor and board layout.
