MSP430F67791A: MULTIPLEXING LCD SEGMENT PINS WITH UART

Hello,

I am using 40 LCD segment pins and UART multiplexed with this pins. As while multiplexing, glitter may occur on this pins.Please help me in how to do this without any problem.

Hi,

Could you please clarify what you are trying to do? Are you trying to switch between LCD segment and UART functionality on certain pins while the program is running?

Hey Nathan,
We are using eUSI_A0 UART in our system . Also pins of same UART are usable as LCD segment output pins. ( Device: MSP430F67791A, PZ 100 pins). Can we use both functions simultaneously ? If yes then how ? Can you share example for the same.

Hi,

Each pin can only have one function at a time. You could switch back and forth, but note that there would be an inherent delay, so this may not be an option for you. Also, please note that there are multiple USCI_A modules on this device, so you could try to use pins that don't conflict with the LCD segment pins.
