MSP430FR5959: RTC module

On the product page it is advertised that MSP430FR5959 has a rtc module http://www.ti.com/product/MSP430FR5959/description , however in the Datasheet on page 2 it is stated

"MSP430FR5x5x devices with the HF crystal oscillator only do not include the RTC_B module".

Has anyone used this device with RTC? Does it or does it not have a RTC module? If so, is there a compatible pin replacement with RTC(in 40 pin package), that includes this module?

    I'm pretty sure I added a note to this effect to the product page a few years ago, but I guess it got removed.

    The note also included my suggested alternate, but I've now forgotten it. I suspect it was the FR5949, since I was interested in the TSSOP.

    Hi,

    Thank you for pointing this out. The MSP430FR5959 does not contain the RTC. I have notified someone to change the product page. For a pin compatible replacement, you would want the MSP430FR5949, though note that it only has the LFXT. If you want both the LFXT and HFXT, you would want the MSP430FR5969, but this is only available in a 48 pin package. For more info, please see table 3-1 in the MSP430FR59xx datasheet.
