MSP430G2553: Question about code example: msp430g2xx3_flashwrite_01.c

Part Number: MSP430G2553

Why is it necessary to write this byte 64 times (the size of SegC) to each byte in the segment at line 111? And then again at line 134, in the copy, to repeat the copy 64 times?

  • > // Description: This program first erases flash seg C, then it increments all
    > // values in seg C, then it erases seg D, then copies seg C to seg D.

Also, address 0x1100 doesn't appear in my copy of this program. I'm pretty sure that memory doesn't exist in the G2553 (see also SLAS735J Table 8).
