Is there a way to write text to the first line of the LCD display? I am using energia and  "LCD_launcpad.h" library currently.

    Hi,

    No, the LCD used for the MSP430FR4133 LaunchPad contains 6 segmented digit displays, along with other display symbols such as decimals, colons, battery indicator, etc. It does not contain lines with text. Please see sheet 2 of the MSP430FR4133 LaunchPad schematics for more detail. If you need to write to an LCD with multiple display line of text, you would need to use a different LCD and connect this as appropriate to the MSP430FR4133 to use the internal LCD driver.
