MSP430F5132: UART PORT Requirement:

Hi,

Can you please help me on the below question:

MSP430F5132 has one UART port ( UCA0TXD and UCA0RXD) and this port has been used. 

1. Can i  configure any other port pins as a UART? ( Need this additional port to interface my communication module) OR 

2. Can i use a MAX232 device  to create an another UART port?

           MSP430 - GPIO pin  --> MAX 232 device --->  communication module.
