CCS/MSP430FR2633: Captivate center code : error in importing in CCS611

Hello everybody ,

please I m using latest Design Captivate center , generate a simple code ( like a button ) and trying to import in CCS611 but getting the error attach .

please where am I wrong ?

Hello Colombo,

Thank you for your post. Have you tried updating CCS to the latest version? In the screenshot above, can you please click "Details>>" and share that screen? While the screenshot of the error is helpful, it doesn't provide much information.

I m blocked to a CCS version due to another project legacy .

Hello Carlo,

Thanks for the screenshot. Have you tried checking for updates in CCS (not upgrade CCS)? I suspect that something is out of date. Install any updates, then close CCS, re-open it, and try to import the CapTIvate project.

Hello Carlo,

After searching E2E for "java.lang.nullpointerexception", I believe that I found the solution. According to Ki-Soo Le in the following thread, a default CCS v6.1.1 installation does not support the FR2633. You will need to run the updater and grab the update that adds support for it. I'm not sure which exact one will install it, I think it is the device support one. But it doesn't hurt to grab the latest of everything.
