CCS/MSP430F5529: Graphing a PWM signal

Hello:

I am using the MSP430F5529 to generate a PWM signal.

Everything works fine but I would like to graph the PWM signal, just to see if the work cycle is correct.

Is it possible to do this in code composer?

If anybody knows a way, I would appreciate the help.

Hi Rosa,

The best way to verify that the PWM signal being generated is correct would be to use an oscilloscope to view the output on the PWM pin. I'm not aware of a simple way to graph the PWM signal using CCS. Do you have access to an oscilloscope?

It is logic output (not analog) signal, so don't see any reason for using scope. You can simply measure low / hi signal period length with another MSP. If you are not comfortable with numbers / ration, and must see a picture, again it can be done with another MSP...

An oscilloscope would be a very good way to measure pwm pulses visually.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have an oscilloscope.
I was just asking because I work with PIC microcontrollers also and I can see the PWM signal using the MPLAB IDE.
I was just wondering if it could be done in CCS.
