MSP430FR6047: Extra amplification added outside chip ?

I am very impressed with this chip. I would like to increase the gain over and above the inbuilt amplifier. Is there a way to add external amplifier(s) without upsetting the recipricosity of the sensor ? i.e. if the amplifiers have differences in timing delays or vary with temperature or ageing ?

Hi Richard,
May I ask what is your application and your expectations on the performance.
For flow measurement, it is not necessary to add external amplifiers.

Hi Cash Hao,

I currently use a bespoke circuit and software on large pipes of various materials. Up to 60 dB of gain is good to have. This means I can use lower power drivers by using more receiver gain. This keeps the overall power used lower. I know the MSP430FR6047 is designed for smaller pipes used in water meters. But it would be fantastic if I could use it on larger pipes.

That looks very interesting. I could probable add a 60 dB amplifier to it and test it out. I cannot find where I cam buy the TIDM-1002 from. Is it for sale ? And how much would it be ?
