A friend on another continent has called me in a panic. He has a TI LaunchPad board MSP-EXP430G2 which contains an executable image. The image was created many years ago, he can't even remember by whom, and has no idea where the source might be.
He wants to copy the image to a second, identical, board, but does not know how. No more do I. Can anyone help?

Piece of cake. Head over to https://www.elprotronic.com/productdata and download FET-Pro430 Software pkg LITE.
In the software go to Setup --> Connection / Device Reset and select your COM port, and set the communication to Spy Bi Wire.
Then select your device, select external voltage and click "Read/"Copy.
On the next screen you can click "TI hex" and save that. Then use this file to program the device.
