I just recently purchased this product for my project and had read the user guide available in the CD

1. can someone offer help such as additional references or documents with regards to usage of product?

2. which i/o pin(of the mcu) can i use to connect to a external temperature sensor?

3. is it okay for me to configure the pins, or are the settings fixed?

4. is there a way to obtain data only from an external temperature sensor besides taking from the built in sensor?

Please note that the sample application (Penguin game) utilizes only the accelerometer sensor.
SDK contains HAL files with access to temperature sensor as well.

The wiki is also of good use for you (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/EZ430-RF2500).

You can connect other sensors to they I/Os too (i.e. temperature, pressure, accelerometers, ..) and then send the data from the Endpoint (EP) to the Access Point (AP) or another EP (look at the SimpliciTI docu fordetails on the protocol).
