Hi,

I am HANU and new to this forum

My requirement is to measure active reactive and apparent powers of an electrical load with an ic msp430f6736

I would like to access these data to another msp430 microcontroller through SPI/UART communications

So please suggest me what kits and compilers I have to buy and what is the step by step procedure to do this

Hello Hanu,

Please take a look at our EVM430-F6736. It should meet all of your requirements. Our existing Energy Library will be replaced soon with a new Energy Measurement Library that features CCS support (existing library only supports IAR). However, the app notes and TI Designs based on the EVM430-F6736 will get you started.

I need clear details to make a single phase and three phase energy meter

the details are

program of an energy meter

programmer to dump the code in the microcontroller

evaluation kit to test the function of energy meter

and I would like to interface another microcontroller to this energy meter board

Have you read through the documents listed above? They include detailed information about how to accomplish your requirements. Also, I would recommend purchasing an EVM to start getting familiar with the hardware and allow you to start evaluating it.

I’m happy to inform you that the official software release for the new Energy Measurement Design Center and Software Library is available on TI.com. It supports CCS and includes documentation and Design Center examples for the supported EVMs. Please download and install the release from the following link:
