MSP432P401R: MSP432P4 USB support

Part Number: MSP432P401R
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5529, MSP432E401Y

Hello. I'd like to know from informed parties if there are forecasts of a new MSP432P4 like product (truly low-power) with integrated USB peripheral support. I already know about MSP430 parts (e.g. MSP430F5529) and MSP432E4 with such support, but I'm interested to the M4F core with ultra low-power support. Thank you all in advance.

  • Hi Piergiuseppe,
we are constantly evaluating features to integrate for the MSP432 MCU products, and USB is definitely one of them. That being said, currently for MSP432P4, we are focusing on high-precision ADC and ultra-low-power capabilities typically required for wireless sensor nodes applications, such as this vibration condition monitor solution www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-01575. For USB integration, as you are already aware, we are currently offering the ultra-low-power version with MSP4320F5529, and as part of the highly integrated Ethernet MCU with MSP432E401Y.
    Hope that helps!
    ~Dung
