MSP432P401R: PWM in any GPIO port

Hi,

I saw PWM examples were using LED Port. But I am not sure if I can use any free GPIO port for PWM. I want to use it for connecting to L298N module.

yes and no, depending on the specifics of your pwm requirement.

You can use the PMAP mechanism to remap some functions (including timer output/PWM) to a subset of the ports.

The mechanism is described in SLAU356H chapter 13; SLAS826G Table 6-45 provides (among other things) a list of the pins you can do this to -- effectively any pin with a stated function of "PM_something".

Perhaps the simplest example is msp430p401_portmap_01, from SLAC698D.

Just to add what Bruce has already mentioned. The PWMs are generated by the timer output function. An example can be found here:
