5V Vcc Microcontroller

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5172

Hello team,

Please help to share the TI basic solution (MCU) MicroController which can work with 5V Vcc . It is for Medical application with any range of RAM, size etc .

Regards,

  • Hi Hemantha,

Why do you need Microcontroller with 5V only? Why can't you lower the Vcc with any suitable LDO?
TI do not have many microcontrollers with 5V operating except some 8051 series 8 bit controllers.

DO select the microcontroller on the basis of number of I/O's, ADC, Timers, Clock, Memory, Availability(popular controller will cost you less) etc.

There is no MSP430 with 5V VCC, however there are some devices where ports (separate voltage pin is used for port supply, not VCC) can work with/on  5V. For example MSP430F5172 is one of them.
