I ordered some msp430fr2355 parts to evaluate but cannot get mspdebug to work with them

Hi glen,

MSP430FR2355 is a new release device, so the old version CCS doesn't support it. You need update at least CCS8.1 to support it.

I am not using CCS. As I mentioned, the issue is with mspdebug.
The response did not resolve the issue.

Hi glen,

Did you encounter the problem when downloading the program? What's your error information reported by IAR IDE?

Winter, msp-debug is not CCS / IAR related, it is standalone.

Glen, you should contact author of msp-debug, to now why device is not supported. Of course, if your setup working with other 5xx/6xx/FR devices without problems, so it is not related to hardware / connection.
