Hello.

What is the purpose of EZFET_AVBUS (P6.0) of MSP430F5528 which is the onboard emulator of MSP-EXP430FR2433?

Regards,

U-SK

  • Hello U-SK,

The EZFET_AVBUS, pin 6.0 on the MSP430F5528, monitors the +5v that is typically available on the USB connector. I believe the EZ-FET uses this to know if the +5v drops out of spec. The other device in the EZ-FET circuit is the MSP430G2452, which creates a software controlled DC-DC converter and requires +5v to be above a certain voltage for it to operate correctly.
