MSP430FR2512: How to design the hardware of a touch key in my application?

Part Number: MSP430FR2512
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430G2312

Hi TI employee,

  We need a touch Key in a consumer-electronics application which is powered by a cell-battery( CR2032). At first , we chose MSP430G2312 , use pin-Oscillator methord. (It's a cost-sensitive product).

and we faced a diffcult problem ,it takes us nearly 10 days, and it still pending...  the UIF is connected with the PCBA, the gap of the counts is quite big and obvilously, when finger is pressed or not . However,

if we remove the MSP-FET430UIF, the gap will decrease sharply which direclty affect the sensitivity and antijamming capability. we know its a cause of earth ground , but  we still can't find a good  point which can

balance between the sensitivity and antijamming capability. So we want to replace the solution with FR2512, in Mutual cap. way, becasue self-capcitace way will encounter the same problem.

The Sensor PAD is a round PAD with a diameter of 35mm, so how to design the pcb layout , if we want to ensure the response area not less than a 30mm-diameter round ?

Any discussion will be appreciated. Thanks.

B.R.
