MSP430F6736: MSP430F6736

Part Number: MSP430F6736

I am at the early stages of writing an Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) specification. It will need to be compliant with SAE J1772 industry standard. While we will focus on AC Level 1 (120 VAC) initially, it will be

expanded to 240 VAC later).  The MSP430f6736 is one TI  integrated circuit that could be used in our design.  I would like to have an appropriate TI EVSE application engineer contact me off-line:

Email:  trconnelly@sbcglobal.net;  Cell: 408-608-7497;  Location: Silicon Valley, CA  I will be able to go into more details in a less public forum.

  • Hello Tim,

The MSP430F6736A can be used for either 120VAC or 240VAC. The main difference between these configurations would be the values in the resistor divider would change to ensure the input voltage to the F6736A's ADCs doesn't exceed the max Full-Scale Range (FSR) or absolute maximum.

    Regards,
