MSP432P4111: My board is about 55 degrees celsius

Part Number: MSP432P4111

I was using the MSP432P411, and a few moments later the board temperaure increased about +25º the normal temperature is 25º and now is 55º

What should I do?

When I debbug with CCS this error appear

CORTEX_M4_0: Can't Run Target CPU: (Error -2134 @ 0x0) Unable to control device execution state. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK). (Emulation package 8.0.27.9)

CORTEX_M4_0: JTAG Communication Error: (Error -615 @ 0x0) The target failed to see a correctly formatted SWD header. The connection to the target may be unreliable. Try lowering the TCLK setting before trying again. (Emulation package 8.0.27.9)

Hello Mateus,

please follow the instruction and decrease TCLK.

I do not have MSP432P411 however you can do it in a way similar to a picture below.

Once you are able to re-establish communication, then I would recommend running a factory reset and then attempting to download a low power example to determine if the silicon has been damaged.

it was my hope that you would be able to establish a communication when dealing with gel files.
In this particular case I would order a new board and than start dealing with a current board.
Be very careful regarding ESD protection.

Assuming that you have no over voltage on MCU pins and pins in high state are not overloaded:

40C degs increase with 22 C/W junction to board and 44.5 C/W junction to ambient thermal resistances gives us 2.717W power dissipation. 2.717W at 3.3V gives 823mA.
Maximum inrush current for Vcc pins is 100 mA.
Moreover, TI recommends an inductor (between VSW and VCORE pins for DC/DC) saturation current to be not less than 700 mA.

If the assumptions above are correct, your chip is damaged.

I hope you could order a new board earlier today.
