MSP432E401Y: Cannot get OOTB example to initialize...

Part Number: MSP432E401Y

Gents - We have two of these boards; just acquired a couple of days ago in order to assess this platform...

One of these works perfectly out of the box; connects to Exosite, added to a product. All good.

The second I cannot get to connect - am using same switch port to same world-facing IP address. At first was getting a 502 (Gateway?) Error. Have soft reset the card several times...

Have also re-built the OOB example from scratch and reinstalled.

Have even added Rei Vilo's suggestion to the code, thinking this would help the reset. No luck! :

In order to wipe the old PID from EEPROM, just add EraseEEPROM() after NVSInit() in main_tirtos.c

The screen command (even after killing its process) displays nothing:

$ screen /dev/cu.usbmodemME401021 115200 –L

  • Hello LouEEE,

Does your network have a proxy at all?

Can you try to connect both the boards at the same time and check if you are still getting inconsistent behavior?

If you follow the same steps, I would expect to see 2 IDs on the Devices tab.

    Thanks,
    Sai
  • Sai,

Many thanks for your response. Ultimately, I think there is nothing at all wrong with the board.

As I am traveling (often to develop demos based on TI products!), we are sometimes beholden to equipment (in this case a switch) beyond our control. One of these had a few misconfigured ports.

Haven't yet had a chance to connect both at the same time as a result. This is next.

    Lou
