MSP430F6433: MSP430F6433 SRAM

Part Number: MSP430F6433

Hi champs,

Could you answer to the below questions about MSP430F6433 SRAM?

Thank you!

Best regards,

Guillaume

Q1: What is the MSP430F6433 technology process (in nm) ?

Q2: What is the MSP430F6433 soft error rate (SER - http://www.ti.com/support-quality/faqs/soft-error-rate-faqs.html) ?

Q3: Does TI recommend to use ECC/parity checking for internal SRAM to minimize SER?

Q4:  What is the MSP430F6433 internal SRAM retention voltage in active mode?

Q5: What is the MSP430F6433 internal SRAM retention voltage in low power mode?

  • Hi Guillaume,

Q1/Q2: I will contact you outside of e2e on these questions.
Q3: This is application specific. The MSP430F6433 has only 10kB of SRAM. Adding ECC/parity would add much overhead to it. Other devices like C2000 TMS320F28379 have 10x higher SRAM sizes.
Q4/Q5: SRAM retention voltage is similar to Vcore voltage which is specified in the datasheet table 5.22 PMM, Core Voltage

    Best regards,
    Andre
