CCS/MSP430F5418A: Importing project from IAR workbench

Part Number: MSP430F5418A

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

I was wondering if there is an easy way of exporting my project from IAR to CCS.

If so, would you be able to point me to the documentation.

Regards,

Rajan

  • Hi,

it's quite some manual work if you want to import your IAR project into CCS. You'll need an understanding of your current and future tools and toolchain to identify the differences in both and adapt it to meet the expected format of the new tool and toolchain, i.e. CCS.

You could take a look at the How to convert a Projekt from IAR to CCS wiki to at least get an understanding of what all you'd need to do. Besides, there are several posts (like this one) you can find in this forum which will also give you some guidance.

    Best regards,

    Britta

  • Hi Rajan,

did you take a look at the indications above?
Do you have any additional questions or issues that need further investigation? Please let me know. In case I don't hear back from you I'll go ahead and close this thread as resolved.

    Thanks,
    Britta
  • Hey Britta,

I did get a chance to look at the documentation and am currently trying to manually port over the code from IAR to CCS.

I am still currently in the process of importing CCS and if I do face a problem I would like to post here.

I will let you know by end of this week, if this thread is okay to close.

    Regards,

    Rajan
