MSP430FR2355: SAC-L3 12-bit DAC Vref calibration

Part Number: MSP430FR2355

Dear MSP430 team,

12-bit DAC of Smart Analog Combo uses internal shared reference Vref for its operation.

Is it advisable to use a certain TLV Vref calibration value in order to increase accuracy?

DACcodeCalibrated = DACcode *2 *VrefCalibrationValue /0x10000

  • Hi Marek,

    This method is advisable. The TLV data of chip includes 1.5V reference calibration data. And if you want, you can use the internal reference as ADC reference and measure a high accuracy external voltage to get the calibration data. Then store the data into TLV memory. Please see the user's guide and datasheet for more details.
