my project is development of inteligent power management system for micro generator using msp 430 micro controller.plz can u help me how to write programme in msp 430 micro controller.how would i start this .

Hi chandrika,

a good starting point is the MSP430 wiki (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/MSP430); you find a lot of information on the MSP430 there.

For code development you can use the Core edition of CCS (it's free), download it here http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Download_CCS. Here's a 'how-to-guide' for new projects http://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/msp43016-bit_ultra-low_power_mcus/f/166/p/18861/72799.aspx.
