I want to use (PU.0 and PU.1) as GPIO to light LED, how do i configure it?

Hi Kary,

I suggest for you to have a look at section 43.2.7 Port U Control in the MSP430x5xx and MSP430x6xx Family User's Guide.

This section explains which bits need to be set to configure the GPIOs as output.

Please let me know in case something remains unclear.

You can also use port J for this.

PUCTL |= PUOPE;

if (some condition){
PUCTL |= PUOUT1

PUOUT0;} 

if (some condition){
PUCTL |= PUOUT0;

}

is it enough?

Hi kary,

yes, you're setting the Port U as output and depending the condition you're driving Pin0/ Pin1 high.
