MSP432P401R: Launchpad kit

I want to connect the board to an external power supply. I wanted to know whether i can give the board power through a power bank? it is urgent can you please help me with this?

Yes, you may supply the 5 V and 3.3 volts from a power supply if you remove the 5V and 3.3V jumper that cross the dotted line. Note that the 3.3V regulator from 5 V is *above* the dotted line, so you have to supply a regulated 3.3 V. 5V is not required if you are not supplying it to off-board peripherals.

I will be connecting my power bank just as i connect it to my laptop, but i am worried about the current ratings though.

Still you will need 3.3V.
As Keith has explained, 5V from a power bank is not enough.

If it goes through the USB line, no problem. Launchpads draw little current, so it should last a long time.

so can i connect a 5v, 1A power bank directly to the Launchpad?

Assuming that you connect it to the USB connector, yes. The 5 V will be regulated to 3.3 and both the 5 V and the 3.3 V will go to the jumpers. If you connect to the USB port, do NOT remove any jumpers.
