Dears,

I'm Using CPUXV2 MSP430F6xx Microcontroller IC 16-Bit 25MHz 128KB (128K x 8) FLASH 100-LQFP (14x14) with TI part number "MSP430F6736 IPZR", my problem is

I can not reset the processor using reset pin (Pin 100 of the processor). I directly pull down the pin, but it doesn't reset. can you please help me.

I see that you're not connecting the 47kOhm pull-up resistor to VCC but rather VDSYS instead. Are you following all the recommended connections defined in the datasheet and user's guide? For example, some F67xx(1)(A) devices require that certain VDSYS pins get connected together externally.

Your comment is very helpful, the meter start resetting after i change the VDSYS in to +3.3V, can you give a clarification why it is?

Hi Behailu,

Thanks for the kind feedback! Just to clarify, you're saying that the reset issue has been resolved by switching the pull-up source of the RST resistor from VDSYS to +3.3V, correct? If so, that's great.

I suspect that the issue is caused by dependencies - it's like an endless loop that prevents everything from starting. The MSP430 stays in reset because the RST signal is pulled up to VDSYS which gets powered up by the MSP430 when it comes out of reset (which never happens). However, when the RST signal is pulled up to +3.3V directly, it's not depending on the MSP430 to be powered up, so it brings the MSP430 out of reset which powers up VDSYS. I hope that makes sense.
