MSP430FR2355: SPI MOSI Active Low

Part Number: MSP430FR2355

Hi,

Is there a way to set the SPI line on this MSP430FR2355 to be idle high and low when transmitting?

Many Thanks,

Vlad

  • Are you trying to have the SPI transmit high for 0 and low for 1? I haven't seen a feature like that (anywhere).

You can always bitwise-invert the bytes before you send them.
  • Hi Vlad,

What is the mean of your "SPI line"? MISO/MOSI, STE or CLK?

The MISO/MOSI data line idle level should be the last bit of the previous transmitting.
The STE idle and transmitting level could be configured by UCMODEx. Please refer to the Table 23-1 of the User's Guide(www.ti.com/.../slau445h.pdf)
The CLK idle and transmitting level(Clock Polarity) could be configured by UCAxCTLW0.UCCKPL. Please refer to the Section 23.3.6.1 of the User's Guide.

As mentioned, you could bitwise-invert the bytes before you send them if you want SPI transmit high for 0 and low for 1.
