MSP430FR5994: Factory Reset procedure

Part Number: MSP430FR5994
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-EXP430FR5994

I received my MSP430FR5994 earlier this week, and after successfully setting it up on a Win7 system, I attempted to upload a uLisp system for some basic testing.  The upload appeared to be successful, but must have failed somehow, because now the board is only recognized as an HID device and will not connect as a serial interface.  I've confirmed this on three different Win7 systems and with different cables.  I've searched through the available documentation, but there doesn't appear to be any way of forcing the board to reload the originally installed firmware from a board reset or forcing an upload over USB.

What am I missing?  Surely there must be some way of undoing it, the board is recognized upon connection.  It just doesn't seem to initialize the system, in particular the lights don't flash as they did when I first set up the system.
