RTOS/MSP432P401R: How to manually start a task

Hi,

I'm using TI RTOS and I am defining my tasks using a cfg file. Is there a way to manually start each task?

Yes, definitely there is a way to start a task manually. Have a look at the TI Driver (RTOS-based) examples in Resource Explorer under Software-> SimpelLink MSP432P4 SDK -> Examples -> Development Tools -> MSP432P401R LaunchPad -> TI Drivers.

I would also suggest visiting SimpleLink Academy TI Driver and Peripheral Labs sections. The MSP432 Single_Threaded ADC lab is a good start.

Hi Jeffrey,

You can also look at the demos/portable and demos/portableNative examples in the SDK. The first one uses POSIX to create pthreads and the latter one uses the native RTOS API (e.g. Task_create).
