Hi TI Team

I am using the MSP-EXP430F5529LP as HID bridge for my power monitoring MSP430i2040. I have loaded the TI_MSP_HIDBRIDGE__1_00_04_00__MSP-EXP430F5529LP firmware.

Error: "More than 1 HID device with the same VIP/PIS is detected. Only one device maybe connected."

It can work in other PCs, not in my laptop even if I reboot & re-install the EMDC.

Laptop is Windows 10. Any idea how to reccover ?

Hi Walter,

Do you know if you tried programming the F5529 LaunchPad when your MSP-FET was also connected? Sometimes, if you have both connected and depending on the order of connection, you may have accidentally programmed the MSP-FET rather than the F5529 LaunchPad. Disconnect your MSP-FET, re-program your F5529 LaunchPad, power cycle the LaunchPad, and see if the issue goes away.

I'm not sure why you're seeing this error, especially on only one PC. Do you have EMDC open more than once on the PC? Can you make sure all USB devices are removed? I'd suggest making sure the MSP-FET and F5529 LP (functioning as the HID bridge) work correctly on the other PCs.

I did your recommendation, even un-install/re-install EMDC then restart my PC.
In other PCs can work correctly.

Did you make sure that the MSP-FET and F5529 LP (functioning as the HID bridge) work correctly on the other PCs? Do you have more than one of these devices? The only time we've ever seen this error is when two devices were connected to the same PC.

Others PC's OK with HID bridge. I only have one device only at the moment.

Hi Walter,

Thanks for your reply and for marking the thread resolved. I'm glad that you're still able to use EMDC on the other PCs for now. When you have time, could you please share a screenshot of your Device Manager with only the F5529 LaunchPad (programmed as the HID bridge) connected to your PC that's showing the error?

Here are some examples from my PC. Please share what's shown under "Human Interface Devices" and "Ports (COM & LPT)".
