MSP430FR6989: launch problem, doesn`t turn on and doesn`t run demo code, please help

I just got my MSP430FR6989 launchpad and I can turn it on. the box isn`t damaged. all jumpers are connected, when I plug usb in PC, PC does not recognize device I mean PC does not reacts at all when I am plugging microcontroller. I have also checked COM ports and my board wasn`t displayed. also demo code isn`t running, LCD do not turn on. I have video how I am connecting it. can anyone help me?

Hi Revaz

That seems you don't have the driver in your PC. You can install the drivers first at here: software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html

Hi Revaz

First the driver I suggest you to install is not related with CCS. Second is your video is a little hazy. You can capture the Device Manager under Ports (COM & LPT) to see if you have the two devices below

One more thing you should be mind is may be the Launchpad device may don't be programmed you can download a simple code like blink a LED or some things else.

Hi Revaz

So the problem is clear your PC has not recognize the Launchpad. So have you restart your PC after you install the driver?
If that even not work can you change other PC to try it?

yes I restarted my PC and tried the same driver on my laptop but result is same

Hi Revaz

Can you find another PC to check again? If it does't work you can to get a replacement. If you purchased the EVM from the TI Store, you can contact the TI Store and explain your issue (referencing this thread) and they can set you up with a replacement. If you purchased it through distribution, you'll need to work with the distributor you purchased the board from.

I tried my board on my friends PC he has latest version of CCS but result. here is screen capture from his PC. Thank you for help

The device dose't work on your friend's PC right?I have not find the "Ports(COM&LPT)" in your capture.

Thank you for your help, it's not a problem I ordered it from time store. I contacted to support center and they said that they will replace it. So anyway thank you very much.
