HI E2E,
Our customer want to use this solution for IP-CAM, so detect distance maybe up to 10 meter
Could it support to 10 meter? or Does TI have latest Glass-Breakage Detector?

Hi Julian,
This solution has a range of about 8 feet, so it won't work properly at 10 meters. However, if the customer is willing to alter the design by experimenting with more sensitive microphones and enhancing the SW to detect glass breakage waveforms at that distance, it might be possible. After a quick glance online, it looks like typical glass break detector ranges are about 20-25 feet, which comes up a bit short for your customer's 10 meter requirement. 10 meters looks to be a challenging distance to meet, but it may be possible with an enhanced design.
Thanks,
Mitch
Hi Mitch,
This is Valentine, the question was raised by me. Nice to discuss with you.
So two approaches to the further distance detection, one is to improve the SNR of is the MIC voice input path before the compactor, the other is enhancing the SW. Would you please share what the performance impact could be and relative result per your experience? For instance, sensitivity of MIC and OP-AMP gain, or others? I am more hardware background guy, of course, welcome share me more about the SW enhance.
Thanks,
Valentine
