Hello

We use MSP430FR6047.

We want to connect TFT LCD.

Does anyone have experience to connect TFT LCD with MSP430 series?

I wonder it is possible and works well.

And also I want to get any recommendation of TFT LCD with MSP430FR6047.

Hello,

MSP430FR6047 doesn't have a on-chip TFT LCD driver. So, it depends on whether your TFT LCD has a built-in LCD driver or you need add extra driver chip. And you should consider the interface between MSP430 and LCD driver chip. There are many TFT LCD vendors. I have no such experience in selection of TFT LCD. But, from my perspective, TFT LCD with built-in driver and SPI interface will be a good option for MSP430FR6047.
By the way, MSP430FR6047 has on-chip segment LCD driver. What factors are you consider choosing TFT LCD?

Thank you for response.

Actually we have HY28B 2.8'' TFT LCD display module.

The LCD controller is ILI9325.

We have to present waveform of signal, so segment LCD is not our option.

Hello,

Actually, we don't recommend non-TI parts. But it is possible to connect TFT LCD with MSP430 devices. TI reference design Filtering and Signal Processing Reference Design Using MSP430 FRAM Microcontrollers is an example.It uses a TFT LCD BoosterPack to display the signal wave.
