MSP430FR2433: MSP430FR2433 goes astray from electromagnetic interference

My MSP430FR2433IRGER controls powerful PWM on powerful inductance.
When PWM generates maximum power, the inductance emits noise and the processor shuts down.
Even timer0_a3 is reset. Сan it be related to RFAM technology?

What are the requirements for protection from electromagnetic radiation in this microcontroller?

  • Hello Vitaly,

Are you driving a motor or some other type of inductive load? Is the inductive load on the same PCB as the device or separated? If the inductive load is separate from the PCB, have you tried adding a shield to the PCB?

Have you looked at the Vcc rail when this occurs?  Do you have power rails tied together?  What size Vcc bypass capacitors are you using?

I don't initially think this is due to FRAM, but would like to understand the system better.

Also, we do perform EMC testing on the evaluation board in accordance with EN 61326-1:2013. DoC is below. This does include EM immunity test cases.
