MSP430F5529: Loading Firmware using USB Example v1.1.4

Part Number: MSP430F5529

Hi, I am trying to load firmware into a virgin MSP430F5529IPNR device using "MSP430 USB Firmware Upgrade Example v1.1.4" and a hardware reset.  I cannot seem to get communication with the MSP processor because "Update Firmware" is not available for selection.

To start, the USB is not recognized on my computer when I try to connect it to the MSP chip.  It appears as Unknown Device in device manager, with what my computer claims is the best drivers for it.  Shown below.

I have implemented the below circuitry to invoke BSL per SLAA452C which does not appear to be working.  From what I understand 1.2 Meg pulls down PUR.  In this circuit after it was built, I notice that PUR sits at about 3.3V without the switch selected with the USB plugged in, and not pulled down.  As I am aware, the button must be pressed when inserting the USB cable into the device in order to hold PUR to VUSB.

Cold someone assist in getting communication to the MSP430F5529IPNR?

I am using LMP91300SWIFEVM board.  The clock part number I have is ‎ECS-240-12-5PX-TR‎.
