My MSP432P401R IC is getting heated even when I tried the multiblink program. I have been using this board for almost one month but now I'm facing this IC heating issue from past 3 days. Please help me out I have a project to complete in next 5 days

  • Is this with no GPIO's connected?

    I suggest you at least order a new one, just in case.
  • As Keith has suggested, it is good practice to have a backup and if building custom boards consider getting several for proto-builds where you have to assemble by hand.

    I have no way to get material to you in 5 days.

    What i have seen when the IO is damaged is that the ESD protection is providing a low impedance path between Vcc and ground and that the IO itself is at some intermediate voltage when trying to drive the pin either high or low. You can perform some experiments to determine which IO is damaged and then possibly attempt to configure the IO in a state (possibly high-z) to see if this will bring the power down, but you would not be able to see LPM3 currents.
