Hi,

We are in need of 4 UARTs and USB in our custom design. We are looking for example codes for implementation of Software UART by configuring MSP430F5659 GPIOs P1.1 and P1.2.

I could find demo codes for MSP430G series. Can anyone share demo code for implementing Software UART in MSP430F series?

Hi Raman,

I believe TI only provide software UART demo code for those devices that doesn't have hardware UART. For F5659, since it has HW UART, I don't think there is official SW UART demo code here.
You may want to try to port the MSP430G series SW UART code to your F5xx devices. Or, you may try your luck in the open internet, such as Git-Hub.

This are example for 2xx, but similar code can be used for 5xx. CPUvX2 will execute some assembler instructions in less number of cycles, so version without timer should be tuned with scope.
