CCS/MSP430FR5994: Error initializing emulator

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

CCS V8.3.0.00009. MacOS Mojave 10.14.3 on new iMac. Getting

Error initializing emulator:

Tried to initialize USB FET number 2, but only found 1 USB FETs

when trying to run debugger on my map-exp430fr5994 launchpad. Has been working fine until I upgraded to new computer and OS. A while ago I saw something about CCS breaking with Mojave. Is there a fix or workaround?

No this did not help, still get
Error initializing emulator:

Actually my issue was resolved when I realized that there is a choice given in preferences somewhere which usb port to use, don't recall seeing that in earlier versions of CCS. At any rate all is well for now.

I tried uninstalling ccs and re-installing v8.3.00009
