Hi Champs,

According to  this page 35, Data set up time mentioned Min 250ns, this value is "low speed " I2C general spec.

High speed I2C spec is Data set up time is 100ms. 

Is this some data sheet mistake ? Or Does TI datasheet define only low speed spec ?

    Hello,

    You are correct with your interpretation of the datasheet that there is only a specification given for the I2C module running at the standard-mode speed. The data setup time will have a smaller window in fast-mode but it has not been characterized. As long as the pull-up resistors are sized accordingly and there is not too much capacitance on the SDA and SCL lines, the I2C module will handle the timing of the packet transmission accordingly.
