Hi,

As explained in the previous thread  https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/msp430/f/166/t/768038

When MCU is in Hibernation mode ,we are not able to achieve the current consumption of very few micro amps as specified in the datasheet .

Since its critical need some more clarification on the issue ,Why it is consuming more.

    This is a very challenging topic. I cannot replicate the issue here and from the data that you have provided I can provide no solution or reason as to why you cannot achieve the same current consumption levels. Ideally, I would connect you with a local representative who could reclaim the launchpad you are using and we could perform more tests internally.

    In lieu of performing a failure analysis, can you perform an additional test to isolate the power from the debugger? If you take the setup shown in this post, e2e.ti.com/.../2877408 and remove the USB connection and power the device from another source to eliminate any potential issue with the XDS110 power supply. Logically, I cannot determine why this would be an issue, but will investigate.

    Hi Chris,

    Even after without giving the power supply through the xds110 debugging probe ttried giving the supply from DCPS but still there is no such decrease of sleepmode current..

    expecting to resolve the same issue...

    Thank  you for attempting this again.  When you run the example found here, are you seeing about 63mA for the active mode and 21mA for the hibernate mode?
