I am having the same issue linked to this thread. I do not have an external oscillator on my custom board, and the inclusion of one on the launchpad and all example codes has cause an error in the DAP. I can't connect to the board without seeing the following error:

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -1170 @ 0x0)
Unable to access the DAP. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK).
(Emulation package 8.1.0.00005)

I can connect to my XDS110 successfully. I was just wondering if anyone had any way to recover my board, or is it bricked for good.
