I am using MSP430F5328 IAR and i want to implement OTA firmware update and my current BSL is inactive directly starts from Main ( reset Int Vector and jump to main) and i want to make my custom boot loader with the option to dual image in order to safe guard the image.

I do have external Flash and Kindly suggest me the way i can do this Either using internal boot loader BSL or external. My code size is 120KB.

I want to update from server side and client is the device where my firmware MSP430 resides.

Can you refer me the document or code sample to go through?

Below is a link to an app note describing the implementation of Flash bootloaders. This mentions OTA implementation and dual image validation. This BSL implementation resides in main memory:

As long as you have the 128KB version of the device, either implementation should work (internal or external BSL).
