How to lock MSP430F2471 program flash?

Hi friends,

I am using MSP430f2471 in my project and want to lock its program memory against read.

How can I lock program memory of msp430 via msp430 JTAG?

I am using IAR embedded workbench for programming.

There is no any good literature available for flash memory control.

Hi,

For protecting the flash memory, you have tu burn the security fuse, afterwhat the JTAG communication will be disabled, and you'll acces the flash through the BSL unlocked with a password. There is some configuration bit for handling this password protection (http://focus.ti.com/lit/ug/slau319a/slau319a.pdf).

I think you can't burn the security fuse with IAR.
