  • Hi Gaurav

Have you install the drivers? You can down load it here http://www.ti.com/tool/mspds?DCMP=msp430&HQS=mspds

More information about the debugger you can refer to http://www.ti.com/tool/mspds?DCMP=msp430&HQS=mspds

    Best regards

  • Hi Gary,

Thanks for your help, I had not installed driver, after you posting the link, I installed driver in both linux (seems like installer on linux at least for me is broken it does not show EULA or any other text in information box, but it seems it installed correctly) and windows, but that does not seems to correct my problem, then I decided to have a try at CCS V9, after installing CCS, when i created new project, wizard gave me an option to identify board, clicking on that ccs guided me to recover my board, dont exactly remember that steps, but from memory

    1. First it told me that my board need to be recovered, clicked on recover, red (LED101) and green led (LED102), flashed for some time.

    2. It gave me some error after some time. disconnected board and connected it again.

    3. Againg clicked on identify, red (LED101) and green led (LED102), flashed for some time, information box told me firmware need to be updated, clicked update button, red (LED101) and green led (LED102), bliked in no particular order, after a minute or two, identification process completed.

    4. Tried MSP430 Blink the LED Demo - Software Toggle P1.0, LED01 started blinking. :-)

Must appriciate your efforts and this great forum. Now need to grab manuals and start learning. will keep you busy ;-)

    Regards

    Gaurav
