Hi!
I have a question about the compute through power loss utility and its shutdown functionality.
In the MSP430FR6989 launchpad, you use an ADC to continuously detect a voltage dip on VCC and trigger a shutdown as well to recommend some external SVS that can provide GPIO interrupt to the MCU.
My question is since the MSP430FR5738 has internal SVS, is it possible to use this to detect the voltage dip and trigger a shutdown? I understand that the PMM is disabled while in LPM3.5 so if a power loss happens while in LPM3.5 it won't trigger the shutdown if it is not possible which SVS would you recommend for a battery application with 3.6V and the MCU running from a 2V LDO.
Hi
I think that can works because we have the interrupt SYSSNIV in SVS, but one thing that you should keep in mind that you must make the power supply dip slowly.
Best regards
Gary
