Hi,

I have been working with EVM430-FR6043 since last few weeks. And now want to design my own board using MSP430FR6043 IC for one of my application. For which going through the schematic I am little bit confused with the presence of SN74LVC2T45DCTR. As per my knowledge it is a level translator for the signal where in design only one of its channel A1-B1 is used and the another channel A2 is supplied with SIGNAL-RX which is grounded by B2.

1) Can you please specify the reason behind this connection of A2-B2?

2) Is it possible to eliminate SN74LVC2T45DCTR and give the SIGNAL_TX to X_CH0_OUT directly?

Hi Azista,

The SN74LVC2T45DCTR drives the Tx circuit with an impedance which is also matched on the Rx circuit. The connection to the A2 terminal is to ensure that the Tx and Rx circuits have comparable impedances. I would recommend that you not make modifications to this circuit since it's possible that the resulting impedance mismatch between the Rx and Tx circuits will decrease the performance of your system.
